What services do you offer?
1
KTPL Law Firm provides legal services in intellectual property, contracts, business formation and governance, compliance and risk management, data privacy and cybersecurity, entertainment law, and cross-border legal strategy. Our work focuses on helping entrepreneurs, growing businesses, and creative professionals build strong legal foundations while protecting their ideas, operations, and long-term growth.
We assist clients with intellectual property protection, including trademark searches and registrations, copyright registration, licensing, and broader IP strategy designed to safeguard brands and creative assets. We also support businesses with contract drafting, contract review, and negotiation, including service agreements, licensing agreements, and other agreements used in business operations and creative collaborations.
Our firm works with founders and organizations on business formation and governance matters, helping clients choose appropriate entity structures and develop internal legal frameworks that support responsible and effective operations. This often includes operating agreements, corporate governance guidance, and legal strategy planning for growing companies.
We also advise clients on compliance, risk assessment, data privacy, and cybersecurity strategy. Our work in this area focuses on identifying legal and operational risks, developing compliance frameworks, and implementing policies that support responsible data management and regulatory alignment.
In addition, we represent creatives, media professionals, and entertainment ventures in entertainment law matters such as copyright protection, licensing agreements, production contracts, talent agreements, and other legal considerations within creative and media-based industries.
For businesses operating across borders, we advise on international legal considerations including cross-border transactions, intellectual property strategy, licensing and distribution arrangements, and coordination with foreign counsel when appropriate.
For clients seeking more consistent legal support, we offer ongoing advisory and general counsel services that provide strategic guidance and proactive legal support as businesses grow and evolve.
What type of clients do you typically work with?
2
KTPL Law Firm works with entrepreneurs, startups, growth-stage companies, established businesses, creative professionals, and organizations that need strategic legal guidance to support their operations and long-term growth. Our clients often seek proactive legal support to protect their intellectual property, strengthen contracts and governance structures, and navigate regulatory and operational risks as their organizations evolve.
We regularly support startups and growing companies that need guidance on intellectual property protection, contracts, business formation and governance, compliance, and long-term legal strategy. At the same time, we also work with established companies and larger organizations that require project-based legal support, risk assessments, compliance initiatives, intellectual property management, or contract development.
Our firm has experience working across a range of industries, including technology, media and entertainment, creative services, wellness and consulting businesses, real estate development, business acquisition firms, fintech companies, and large nonprofit and corporate organizations. This cross-industry perspective allows us to approach legal challenges with a practical understanding of how different industries operate and grow.
Because our firm takes a relationship-driven approach to legal services, many of the clients we work with are looking for more than one-time legal transactions. They are seeking trusted legal guidance that evolves alongside their organization and supports their long-term goals.
What makes you different?
3
KTPL Law Firm takes a strategic, relationship-driven approach to legal services rather than focusing solely on one-time transactions. Our work centers on helping entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations develop strong legal infrastructure that supports long-term growth, risk management, and operational stability.
Our work begins by understanding the bigger picture. We take time to learn about our clients’ businesses, their goals for growth, and their individual tolerance for risk. This insight allows us to develop legal strategies that are tailored to each client’s operations rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead of reacting to problems after they arise, we focus on helping clients build proactive legal frameworks that protect their businesses as they grow.
For many of our clients, this means working with us as ongoing advisors rather than engaging us only for isolated legal tasks. Whether we are assisting with intellectual property protection, contract development, compliance programs, or broader legal strategy, our role is to provide thoughtful guidance that aligns with each client’s long-term vision.
In short, our firm is built around partnership, strategy, and proactive legal support designed to help businesses move forward with clarity and confidence.
Do you work with clients outside Indiana?
4
Yes. KTPL Law Firm works with clients across the United States and internationally through our virtual practice. While our primary licensure is in Indiana, many of the legal services we provide—such as intellectual property strategy, contract drafting and review, compliance guidance, and business advisory services—can support clients regardless of their physical location.
For matters that require jurisdiction-specific legal advice outside Indiana, we work carefully within applicable professional responsibility rules and may coordinate with trusted attorneys licensed in the relevant jurisdiction when appropriate. Our firm is also developing a growing network of of-counsel attorneys licensed in multiple states, which allows us to support clients whose businesses operate across different regions.
Because many modern businesses operate digitally and across borders, our virtual structure allows us to collaborate efficiently with entrepreneurs, companies, and creative professionals wherever they are located while ensuring legal work is handled in compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.
